Microsoft has begun the rollout of the early access build of Minecraft Earth - a more complete version that replaces the current beta version.

Everyone in supported regions can test it, not just a chosen few, and contains more features than the beta edition.

The countries that have been given the early access so far are the UK, Canada, Australia, Mexico, South Korea, Philippines, Sweden, Iceland and New Zealand.

Microsoft will announce new regions as they are "switched on" through its dedicated Earth Twitter account.

Microsoft is looking to rival Pokemon Go as you can build things on your phone and place them in real world locations using augmented reality. Then, other players can look for your builds, view and interact with them.

The closed beta had purchases locked off, but the storefront should be opened for the early access version soon. An adventure mode is also on the cards, where you can play and battle inside Minecraft builds, will be implemented in the next few weeks.
